PURPOSE:To prevent a cable from slipping down by holding the cable on an anchor member through a tapered face using a wedge member when the cable is laid vertically while being held at the upper part thereof. CONSTITUTION:Split unit bodies 20, 20a of a wedge member are arranged for a cable 10 such that the wedge member can be shifted vertically in an anchor member. The tapered outer peripheral face 23 of the wedge member and the tapered inner peripheral face 41 of the anchor member are inclined by a predetermined angle theta so that the cable is tightened firmly when the wedge member is driven. Furthermore, the anchor member is bundled by a band 5 and mounted on a supporting base 15 thus preventing the cable 10 from slipping down while allowing ascent of the cable anchor 1. When a lubricant is applied to the tapered engaging faces, both members are allowed to slide. |
