The plastic doctor (20) according to the invention is intended for the wiping of cylinders of printing machines and particularly of flexographic printing machines. It has a part intended to come into contact with the cylinder, this part consisting of a surface (21). For example, the said part of the doctor intended to come into contact with the cylinder consists of a surface which, in cross-section, has the form of an arc of a circle. The doctor can also have a polyhedral shape, and the part of the doctor intended to come into contact with the cylinder is then included in one facet of this polyhedron.
