PURPOSE:To enable the discharge amount of sediment or the supply amount of slurry to be adjusted so as to obtain the prescribed uniform value of density in a chamber, on the basis of a filling degree outputted in such a form as corresponding to a specific resistance value detected at every measurement position. CONSTITUTION:In a shield device 1, a chamber 9 for allowing the filling of sediment 39 generated due to the excavation of the natural ground 2 is formed between an excavating cutter 6a and a division 7, and a slurry supply device 12 to feed slurry 38 to the chamber 9 and a discharge amount adjustment device 20 to adjust a discharge amount from the chamber 9 are respectively provided. The device 1 so constituted is fitted with a plurality of sensors 15 capable of detecting the specific resistance value rhon of the sediment 39 in the chamber 9. A specific resistance computation section 32 is connected in advance to a filling degree judgement section 33, so as to allow the calculation of the filling degree RN of the sediment 39 in the chamber 9 on the basis of the value rhon detected with the sensors 15. |
