PURPOSE:To obtain a composition, consisting of a carboxyl group-containing vinyl acetate based copolymer and curing agent and capable of providing a surface protective material, good in heat resistance, capable of preventing ply separation and good in quality holding properties in preservation. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) a carboxyl group- containing vinyl acetate based copolymer with (B) a curing agent reactive with the component (A) at 99:1-80:20 weight ratio or further blending (C) an aliphatic release agent at 99:1-1:99 weight ratio based on the components (A) and (B). A back treating layer having a coating layer of the components (A) and (B) as an inner layer and a coating layer of the component (C) as an outer layer is formed on the other surface of a paper substrate having a pressure-sensitive tacky agent layer. |
