MICROORGANISM FOR PULP BLEACHING AND BLEACHING OF PULP USING THE MICROORGANISM

PURPOSE:To perform industrial bleaching of pulp without using chlorine-based chemicals by inoculating a microbial strain SKB-185 having excellent pulp- bleaching performance to a pulp and culturing the strain. CONSTITUTION:A new microbial strain SKB-185 (FERM P-13530) having excellent pulp-bleaching performance and exhibiting the activity at a relatively high temperature range is inoculated to a pulp and cultured for a prescribed period. The cultivation is carried out preferably at a pulp concentration of 20-60%, pH of 4-7 and culture temperature of 25-4OC especially about 37 deg.C.
