PURPOSE:To provide a throttle opening detector of an electric motorcycle capable of transmitting the turning of a grip directly to a detecting means with a simple and maintenance-free construction without occupying a large space in a body. CONSTITUTION:A throttle opening detector 28 of an electric motorcycle 1 is provided with a throttle grip 29 provided on a handle bar 5 for steering a front wheel 3 to be gripped by a driver and a throttle opening detecting means 30 having a rotary shaft 47 rotated with the turning of the throttle grip 29 to detect electrically the throttle opening. The axial center of the rotary shaft 47 is aligned with the extension line of the center shaft of the throttle grip and connected therewith to be rotated integrally therewith. Also, the handle bar 5 is provided with a straight tube part 32 extending approximately widthwise of a vehicle and a support part 34 coupled with the intermediate part of the straight tube part 32 to be connected to a steering shaft. The throttle grip 29 and throttle opening detecting means 30 are respectively provided on the outside in the vehicle lateral direction of a straight pipe 32 and on the inside to sandwich the coupling part 34a. |
