PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately detect defective welding of metallic sheets by ultrasonic welding. CONSTITUTION:In welding equipment where a vibration transmission part 16 is joined to a vibrator 14 which operator ultrasonic vibration by a high-frequency driving current from a high-frequency oscillator 10 and the ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to joining parts of two metallic sheets by this vibration transmission part 16 to perform welding, a welding monitor 18 is provided on a joining line between the high-frequency oscillator 10 and the vibrator 14 and hereby, a current value between both is detected continuously at least during welding work. Accordingly, when the vibration transmission part 16 is scanned at the parts to be joined to perform ultrasonic welding, for instance, at what part defective welding is generated and further, to what extend width defective welding is generated can be easily discriminated by detecting and checking the current value. |
