INTRAMUSCULAR AND SUBCUTANEOUS INJECTION SOLUTION FOR ANIMALS

An intramuscular and subcutaneous injection solution for animals contains 5 to 30 g oxytetracycline as magnesium complex and 0 to 25 g polyvinyl pyrrolidone per 100 ml solution, the required amount of an organic base to adjust a pH value from 5.5 to 9.5 as well as usual additives in an aqueous organic solvent phase. The solvent phase contains a basic aminoacid as organic base to adjust the pH value and the injection solution is substantially free of chloride ions.
