IMPROVEMENTS TO BEDS FOR CLINICAL USE

An improvement to a clinical bed consists of a mechanism which provides for the alternate raising/lowering of two groups of elements linked to the bolsters which form the mattress, said groups of elements being actuated by means of cams linked to transmissions of the cardan type. Each group of elements forms a support for the patient, with the possibility of modifying the supports by changing the position of the groups of elements. Another improvement to the bed is a self-contained device intended to transfer the patient to or from the bed without subjecting the patient to prejudical movements. It comprises a rolling frame wherein a sort of comb is upwardly/downwardly displaceable. Another improvement to the clinical bed consists of a system for washing and cleaning the patient while the latter remains in bed. It is based on a heater connected to a shower. A pneumatic chamber, complementary of the matress lathing, is another improvement.
