An add-on device (2) which is mounted on steerable wheels (3, 4) and is intended for a vehicle (1) has a hydraulic steering device (16, 21). By means of a multi-way valve (20) the hydraulic steering circuit of the add-on device (2) can be connected in series with the steering circuit (15, 17, 18) of the vehicle (1). This results in good synchronous operation and ease of operation when in use.
