摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain an onboard navigation apparatus which enables the indicating of the correct current position of a vehicle to a user of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Estimated position of a vehicle on a road is determined with a vehicle estimated position calculating section 4 from a vehicle running distance detection signal and a vehicle running bearing detection signal and a road data. Correlation evaluation function values corresponding to the estimated positions of the vehicle on the road are computed with 2 correlation evaluation function value computing section 5 and a correlation evaluation function value weighting computing section 11 performs a weighting computation of the correlation evaluation function values corresponding to the estimated positions of the vehicle on a guidance path with respect to the guidance path stored in a guidance path data memory section 10. After the weighting computation, the size of the individual correlation evaluation function values are evaluated with the correlation evaluation function value evaluating section 6 to output the estimated position of the vehicle corresponding to the maximum correlation evaluation function value at a display control section 12 as the current position of the vehicle. |
