PURPOSE:To provide an emergency lighting device by which switching operation becomes possible by simple wiring. CONSTITUTION:When power failure is not caused in commercial AC electric power supply E, in order to supply an electric current to a relay coil Ry11L, relay contact points Ry11S1 and Ry11S2 connect the first self-exciting inverter 12 and a discharge lamp FL to each other, and a relay contact point Ry11S3 opens a line between a battery B and the second self-exciting inverter 15. The first self-exciting inverter 12 is operated by electric power of the recitified and smoothed commercial AC electric power supply E, and the discharge lamp FL is lighted in a high frequency, and the battery B is charged with electricity. When the power failure is caused in the commercial AC electric power supply E, the relay contact points Ry11S1 and Ry11S2 opens the line between the first self-exciting inverter 12 and the discharge lamp FL, and the relay contact point Ry11S3 is closed, and the battery B and the second self-exciting inverter 15 are connected to each other. The second self-exciting inverter 15 is connected to the battery B, and the second self-exciting inverter 15 is operated by the battery B, and the discharge lamp FL is lighted in the high frequency. |
