PURPOSE:To connect more mobile stations compared with conventional digital cordless telephone system by improving line efficiency in a radio interface between the mobile station and the base station of the digital cordless telephone system, and besides, utilizing effectively frequency. CONSTITUTION:Since the digital cordless telephone system is provided with subrate communication control parts 3, 9 capable of compression-encoding/ decoding, default data transmission rate setting means 5, 10 to set the data transmission rate of an information channel, and a radio interface managing means 6 to manage the using state of the radio interface, by controlling subrate communication while managing the using state of the radio interface, line using efficiency in the radio interface is improved, and the effective utilization of the frequency can be realized. |
