PURPOSE:To provide an automatic fare collecting device which can quickly collect the fares in an extremely easy-to-understand way and also can eliminate the coin throwing failures at coin charging. CONSTITUTION:Such fare paying ports as a paper money inserting port 4A, a coin charging port 4B which is projectably supported retractably on the front face of a panel 1A, a magnetic card inserting port besides acting returning part 4C, etc., are provided together on the front face of the panel 1A which includes a guide display window 2 to show the fares, etc. Meanwhile the discharging ports such as a change return port 5A, a receipt issuing port 5B, etc., are placed together adjacently to those fare paying ports. That is, the window 2, the ports 4A-4C, and the ports 5A and 5B are arranged in a set at the upper, middle and lower stages respectively on the front face of the panel 1A. Then a detecting device and a computing circuit which detects and calculates the cash in response to each paying means are added together with a storage and computing circuit which execute the necessary display and the commands in response to the computing results. Thus those charging and returning ports are functionally arranged so that the fares can be automatically and smoothly collected. |
