<p>PURPOSE: To provide an optical hybrid medium which is a thin type magnetic/ optical medium for recording information on both sides records certain information exclusive for reading and records certain information by making it rewritable. CONSTITUTION: A double sided optical storage disk is provided with a single substrate 100, and on respective side faces 111, a microstructure is formed. This microstructure is formed from helically or concentrically arranged grooves or pits. On the respective side faces 111 of the substrate 100, a reflection layer 120 and a transparent protection layer 150 are formed. The reflection layer 120 is formed from aluminum alloy. The outer protection layer 150 is formed from a transparent anticorrosive material especially suitable for an air-supported low floating read head, preferably, from silicon nitride.</p> |
