PURPOSE:To obtain an HIV infection preventing agent, AIDS crisis preventing agent and AIDS treating agent containing 46NW-04A substance as active component, having high safety and exhibiting excellent effect. CONSTITUTION:The 46NW-04A substance derived from Pseudomonas sp.46NW-04 strain (FERM P-9579) and having the following physical and chemical properties is used as an active component. Molecular weight, 1126 (SI-mass spectrum); elemental analysis (measured values), C 56.98%, H 8.49%, N 11.0%; Rf value of silica gel thin-layer chromatography, 0.32 (developing solvent, chloroform/ methanol = 3/1) and 0.51 (developing solvent, ethyl acetate/methanol = 1/1); solubility, easily soluble in methanol, ethanol and acetone and insoluble in water; color reactions, positive to bromocresol green, dinitrophenyl hydrazine, Dragendorff's, 8-hydroxyquinoline-NH3 and anisaldehyde reagents and negative to potassium permanganate, anthrone, Barton, copper acetate, Legal, Molish, ninhydrin and rhodamine reagents. |
