Exposure method for reducing the distortion in models generated by spatial imaging

A method for reducing the distortions in three-dimensional computer generated models formed by sequentially exposing adjacent layers of a photoformable composition comprises exposing each layer twice, the first exposure being an image-modulating exposure which is modulated further to generate a sequence of isolated, anchored islands along the image areas, and the second exposure likewise being image-modulated, but without the additional modulation, in order to connect the islands to form a continuous fixed (permanent) image.
