PURPOSE:To cook rice of a good quality by a method wherein previously soaked grain is heated by a primary steaming device, and then, the grain is soaked in hot water, and then, heated by a secondary steaming device. CONSTITUTION:Previously soaked grain is fed in a storage tank 12. Then, steam of a high temperature is fed for a specified period of time from a steam feeding pipe 10, and poured on the grain which is stored in the storage tank 12. Then, when the specified period of time has passed, a worker operates a carrying device 4 and let the grain on which steam has been poured fall on a conveyor 11. Then, the grain is carried by the conveyor 11 and fed in an immersion tank 3. The grain soaks hot water in the immersion tank 3, and at the same time, is selected to a secondary steaming device 6 side by a grain pushing plate 21, and is fed on an endless belt 22 of the secondary steaming device 6 from the carrying final end. Then, the grain for which an immersion treatment is applied is further carried by the endless belt 22, and on the way of carrying, high temperature steam which is fed from a steam chamber 23 through the endless belt 22 is poured on the grain to cook the rice. |
