<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a rhodium compd. by subjecting a catalyst soln. or a catalyst soln. added with a specific diluting solvent to a carbonylization treatment by carbon monoxide or the carbon monoxide and hydrogen before tar separation and increasing the quantity of iodine ions in the catalyst soln. CONSTITUTION:This method for stabilizing the rhodium compd. is a method for stabilizing the rhodium compd. included in the catalyst soln. contaminated by the tar by-produced in a carbonylization reaction of forming acetic anhydride by bonding methyl acetate or dimethyl ether with the carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalyst contg. the rhodium compd. and alkaline iodide. The catalyst soln. itself or the catalyst soln. incorporated with the diluting soln. consisting of >=1 kinds among the compds. existing in the carbonylization reaction system is subjected to the carbonylization treatment by the carbon monoxide or the carbon monoxide and the hydrogen before subjecting the catalyst soln. to the process for separating the tar, by which the iodine ions in the catalyst soln. are increased.</p> |
