The fibre spare links (routing links) necessary for optical fibre connections are hitherto deposited in an uncontrolled manner inside the installation boxes. This can result in the destruction of the fibres or in an increased attenuation (loss). Provision is made for the fibres to be accommodated in a winding-up device whose winding radius is not smaller than the minimum permissible bending radii of the fibres. The invention is used for surface-mounted boxes and flush-mounted boxes, wall conduit assemblies and for equipment plugs in under-floor arrangements. <IMAGE>
