PURPOSE: To obtain a comfortable ride even though a seat has a light weight and to increase thermal resistance concerning a vehicle seat for airplane and so on. CONSTITUTION: A seat cushion 5 made of a foamed plastic has a supporting body 7 and a cover part 26. The supporting body 7 consists of the first relative density layer and open cellular type elastic plastic foaming body 8 having an intermediate layer with the second relative density different from the first layer. The supporting body 7 and the cover 26 are fixed mutually by an adhesive, and a fireproof intermediate layer 15 is inserted between the supporting body and the cover part. The intermediate layer consists of high-temperature resistant fibers or threads in lattice or network forms. An intermediate layer 18 is constituted by a non-woven fabric 22 of at least one layer 21 or 32 made of synthetic fibers and/or natural fibers or strands 24 on which needling or thermal bonding is to be performed. The materials to form the intermediate layer are connected to a carrier layer 23 by needling and so on.
