PURPOSE:To obtain a sagger, excellent in resistances to reaction and spalling and capable of directly placing a material to be burned thereon and burning the material to be burned by adding and mixing andalusite powder having a specific particle diameter with Al2O3 powder, forming raw material powder and then burning the formed compact. CONSTITUTION:Raw material powder prepared by adding and mixing 5-40wt.% andalusite powder having <500mum average particle diameter with Al2O3 powder is used and formed into a desired shape. The resultant formed compact is then burned to produce an alumina-based sagger containing >=80wt.% Al2O3 as the chemical composition. Since this alumina-based sagger is excellent in resistance to reaction and spalling for a material to be burned in burning electronic parts such as a ferrite or a ceramic capacitor, the material to be burned can be placed on the sagger through no setter and burned. Thereby, automation and robotization of a burning line can be carried out without using the setter. |
