PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the optical system which includes the beam shaping prism. CONSTITUTION:The beam shaping prism 4 has incidence surface 41 and outgoing surface 42 which face each other at a vertical angle theta and is so set that outgoing light 20 which is made incident on the incidence surface 41, transmitted through the prism 4, outgone from the outgoing surface 42 has its cross section shape shaped almost circular according to a combination of the refractive index and vertical angle theta of its constituent material. A half-mirror surface 42 which transmits a part of laser light and reflects the rest is formed on the outgoing surface 42 of the beam shaping prism 4. This half-mirror surface 43 is so arranged that the optical axis 21 of the incident light 22 is not aligned with the optical axis 24 of the reflected light 23. |
