PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to execute the cutting/removing work of a power cable part for forming an optical fiber excess length part and to simply and efficiently execute connecting work by leaving a part of the optical fiber at the time of forming a power cable excess length part for a loading test to be executed prior to shipment. CONSTITUTION:In the case of executing a loading test, a part of the end part 10A of a composite power cable 10 which is the outside of a conductor 1 and an insulator layer 2 is removed only by length L0 to form a power cable excess length part 11. At the time, an optical fiber 4 corresponding to the part of the length L0 is left as an optical fiber excess length part 12 without removing it. After executing a loading test, the excess length part 11 is cut off and removed from its base end. At the time, the excess length part 12 is left without cutting off it. At the time of shipping the cable 10 as a product, it is preferable to wind up and store the excess length part 12 in a pooling eye 13. |
