PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative body wherein character and pattern of picture having high durability can be formed without impairing the appearance of the surface of mat tone, or suede tone formed by coating material containing resin powders or fine particles of leather and without impairing the feeling of quality such as softness, soft touch property. CONSTITUTION:A coating material containing resin powders or particles of leather is applied to an item to be coated and after the coating material has been dried and solidified, a transfer sheet in which a pattern is formed using sublimable dyestuff is superposed on the coating surface, which is heated and pressed through an elastic body, whereby the interior of the coating is impregnated with the dyestuff from the surface thereof, so that a decorative body is manufactured. A coating material containing resin powders or particles of leather is applied to a bar-like item to be coated and after the material has been dried, a transfer sheet having a pattern formed from sublimable dye is wrapped around the item, which item is then inserted into a shrinkable tube, and by heating it, the sublimable dye is impregnated into the coating from the surface thereof, thereby manufacturing a decorative body. |
