PURPOSE:To largely delete power consumption of a printer by so controlling as to restart power supply to an apparatus having large power consumption according to predetermined conditions, and printing image data. CONSTITUTION:A power supply to a fixing unit 109 of a laser beam printer(LBP) is previously cut OFF. Then, image data is received from a host computer 201 connected with the LBP, and stored in a hard disk 206. In this case, when a predetermined time is elapsed or an empty area for storing the data is eliminated in the disk 206 after the data is received, power supply to the unit 109 is restarted to warm the unit 109, and the data stored in the hard disk is printed to be output. In this case, it is so controlled as to start power supply to the apparatus having large power consumption to print the data. |
