<p>A production controller (1) has a case tracking processor (2) which automatically triggers and implements the events to move cases along process tracks. There may be a very large number of cases and the events are automatically initiated. There may be a number of different parallel tracks for each case. Real-time data is inputted from a network system (4) and transaction data is automatically uploaded from a transaction processing system (20). The case tracking processor operates in a batch process mode to move each case along to the next stage at the correct time.
