<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a shift register by a method wherein the number of flip-flop circuits is set less than that of latch circuits by connecting input terminals of the two or more latch circuits to one output terminal of each of the flip-flop circuits forming a shift register. CONSTITUTION:Printing data D1 driving odd-numbered printing elements R1, R3... is inputted to a shift register 12 on a clock CL1 and latched by odd- numbered latch circuits L1, L3...L3n-1 on a load pulse (1). Printing data D2 driving even-numbered printing elements R2, R4...R3n is inputted to the shift register 12 on a clock CL2 and latched by even-numbered latch circuits L2, L4...L3n on a load pulse (2). The latched printing data D1, D2 are respectively inputted to NAND circuit N1, N3...N3n-1, N2, N4...N3n to drive the printing elements R1-R3n batchwise in synchronism with a printing pulse. In this constitution, the number of flip-flop circuits F1-Fn can be set less than that of the latch circuits L1-L3n, and the shift register 12 can be miniaturized.</p> |
