PURPOSE:To form many lenses having high precision at a same time without requiring execution of aligning work by fitting each pair of die for press forming a lens material to each plural through hole provided to a template respectively. CONSTITUTION:Plural numbers of through hole 3 are arranged to a template 2. The holes serve as forming cavity, serving also for holding the male die and female die 4, 5 fitted from openings at both ends for forming the lens surface at a fixed position. Namely, the holes function to obtain desired precision of shift of axial center and inclination. In the first stage, a spherical material 10 for the glass lens is charged to each hole 3, then a die 5 is fitted to the hole in accordance with specifically determined method, then the template 2 is heated by a heating device until the material 10 reaches a softened state permitting forming. Then, the template 2 heated at a specified temp. is placed on a support plate 6 of a dieset 14 and an upper plate 12 at a position expressed by a two-dot chain line to the drawing is dropped to a position expressed by a full line, forming thus a formed glass lens 1. |
