Programmable filling machine for fluids into containers, e.g. drink bottles

The filling head has a sealing face to locate onto the necks of the containers (1) to be filled and with level sensors (4,5) set for different fluid levels. The filling control is switched to the required level for a particular container and the other sensors are redundant. To change containers the control is simply switched to the appropriate sensor.The sensors are mounted in the ring concentric to the seal and inside the seal. The filling head has a conical input flange to locate on the neck of each container. The filling is regulated by microprocessor (34) controlled valves (31-33) in the filling head.
