Adjusting target sight for TV shooting game - using monitor with adjustment element for cross hair sight symbol aligned with axis of gun

A video target shooting system has a gun (4) focussing the output of a photodiode (22) by a lens (23) to direct a beam onto the monitor (2). A cross hair sight (7) is produced on the screen. A control unit (3) contains a microcomputer (9), a video controller (10) and an image memory (11) to which a shift register (12) and a controller (13) for the gun are assigned. The monitor has user knobs (8a-8d) that allow the position of the sight to be moved. The photodiode is coupled to line and pixel counters (25,26) to allow the axis of the gun to be accurately aligned with the line of sight to the monitor target point.
