PURPOSE:To contrive automatically the improvement of the layout of a group of components, which are designated by a user who wants to improve the layout of the group to one part of the final layout result obtained by an expert system (an ES), using a genetic algorithm (a GA). CONSTITUTION:The device is made a continuous operation by a genetic algorithm (a GA) using a layout improvement device 7 to a layout result obtained by a layout expert system, which comprises an input/output device 1, a layout object data base 2, a layout expert unit 3 and a layout result file 4, and the improvement of the layout of a group of components is automatically made. |
