<p>Aldonamide surfactants, both monosaccharide aldonamide and higher (di- or oligo-)saccharide aldoamides, containing heteroatoms (preferably O, but also S or NH) in the hydrocarbon radical, are useful as surfactants and foaming agents. These compounds exhibit superior foaming and enhanced solubility compared to their counterparts containing no heteroatoms in the hydrocarbon radical.</p> |
