Tracked vehicle for agricultural use with reduced drag for road use - uses elastomer track with variable tension and with variable suspension on running wheels

The elastomer track has a profile on the inside to match the profile of the running wheels and the end tension wheels (4,5). The tension is adjustable to suit operating conditions and the middle running wheels have adjustable suspension to enable the vehicle to operate with a reduced track length in contact with the ground i.e. for road travel and for turning sharp corners. The suspension elements of the middle, adjustable wheels are angled to each other. The end tension wheels are supported on parallelogram lever supports with at least one lever length adjustable. USE/ADVANTAGE - The elastomer track for an agricultural vehicle is simple and cost effective to fit and the adjustable suspension provides reduced ground damage and improved road travel.
