The device has a push-button release (3) with a safety catch (4), with a rotary adjustment ring (5) controlled by a gripping projection (6) to move a dispensing nozzle (7). The nozzle is associated with an anatomically-shaped eye cup (8), and fits onto the top of an aerosol or other spray container (2). The assembly is formed of plastics material. The cup includes a conical hollow recess whose largest-diameter opening engages the external surface of the eyeball. The assembly may be coloured according to a code corresponding to the product dispensed by the aerosol container.
