PURPOSE: To provide a pharmaceutical composition useful for the treatment of pain and tussis, which comprise a tramadol substance and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and shows synergistic analgesic effects with a small amount of dosage wand with less side-effects such as abuse liability, tolerance, constipation, respiratory depression. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition is composed of tramadol, i.e., (1R,2R or 1S,2S)-2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexanol, its N-oxide derivative and O-desmethyl derivative, or their mixture, and non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen, salicylate, suprofen, etc.). Especially, the composition comprising the tramadol substance and the ibuprofen is preferable one, and the ratio of the former to the latter is 1:2-1:20. |
