<p>PURPOSE:To provide q device for governing/controlling the speed of a waterwheel generator wherein the speed is governed and controlled by a method wherein the opening and shutting mechanism (the inflow-water-quantity control installation) of a waterwheel water port is omitted, the torque of a waterwheel is transmitted to the generator via an electromagnetic clutch and the torque transmission force of the electromagnetic clutch is controlled in a stepless manner. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is constituted of a waterwheel WT, of a waterwheel generator SG which is turned and driven by the waterwheel WT, of a controllable clutch PC which is installed between the waterwheel WT and the waterwheel generator SG and which can transmit the turning effort of the waterwheel WT to the waterwheel generator SG in a stepless manner, of a speed detector TG which is driven by the waterwheel generator SG and which outputs a speed signal corresponding to the rotational speed of the waterwheel generator SG and of a clutch control device 10 to which the speed signal is input and which outputs a control signal corresponding to the deviation between the speed signal and a predetermined rotational speed for the waterwheel generator SG. The controllable clutch PC is controlled by the control signal, and the rotational speed of the waterwheel generator SG is made to coincide with the predetermined rotational speed.</p> |
