Both the viscosity and reactivity of a UV curing resin are determined at the same time by exposing a sample to UV radiation and simultaneously determining its viscosity and detecting the change in the value. Also claimed is the equipment used to produce the data. The layout has an (e.g.) Searle rotary viscometer (1), evaluating meter (2) and irradiator (12) connected together. The test sample is a drop (5) on a (e.g.) quartz plate (6) with spring-loaded pressure. The whole set-up is held at different temps. as required.
