<p>PURPOSE:To continuously, automatically and economically execute the steelmaking in good working environment by synthetically controlling each process of heating and melting materials for steelmaking with an electric furnace, tapping it into a ladle and carrying the molten steel into continuous casting equipment through a carrying truck. CONSTITUTION:The materials for steelmaking of iron-containing scrap, slag- making material, etc., are continuously charged into the electric furnace 1 and heated, melted and continuously tapped. This tapped molten steel is incorporated into the ladle 5 on the carrying truck 4 and carried on rails 6. If necessary, the molten steel is refined in a ladle refining furnace 2, and thereafter, this ladle 5 is carried to the continuous casting equipment 3. Then, the ladle 5 is hung up on a gantry type frame 34 by a ladle carrying means 31 and carried, and the carrying truck 4 is returned back under the electric furnace 1. Successively, the molten steel is poured from the ladle 5 to a tundish 35, and further, poured into a mold 36 to cast the cast billet through pinch rolls 37, etc. Each of the processes is continuously and synthetically controlled to execute the continuous automatic steelmaking.</p> |
