PURPOSE:To downsize a device, and enable the various utilization thereof by taking out only a necessary part of the map information. CONSTITUTION:At the time of selecting process for selecting a map before starting a navigation, when a point of the map information displayed on a display means 6 is indicated by a cursor key of a position indicating means 5 and a map memory key is pushed, the peripheral map information around the indicated point is stored in a second storage device 22. This operation is repeated at need, and when the storage of map is finished, a first storage device 3 is separated, and the navigation is performed by a position detecting means 1, the display means 6, the position indicating means 5 and a control device 2. Thereafter, the signal from the position detecting means 1 is analyzed by the control device 2, and in the case where the real position exists in a range near the map information stored in the second storage device 22, the map information thereof is displayed with the real position by the display means 6. |
