<p>PURPOSE:To generate a swirl in a cylinder easily at the time of low rotation, and distribute fuel nearly uniformly across the total range of a combustion chamber so as to improve output. CONSTITUTION:An intake passage 14 consists of a first intake passage 16 having branch passages 19, 20, and a second intake passage 17. A fuel injection device 21 is provided on the first intake passage 16 on the upper stream side from the branch part of the first intake passage 16, on the upper stream side from the branch part of the first intake passage 16, and an opening/closing valve 22 opened at the time of high rotation is provided in the second intake passage 17. The center branch passage 19 is arranged to approach an intake hole 17a side as it progresses downstream. Intake gas may hardly flow into the branch passage 19, and it flows from an intake hole 20 into a cylinder in large amount and at a high speed at the time of low rotation. Air fuel mixture is supplied from the intake holes 17a, 20, and a swirl is generated easily in the cylinder.</p> |
