An electrical connection forming system is used between an insulated wire lead (3) and at least one electrical terminal element (10) with cutting clamp edges. A wire lead insertion tool is used to press the wire lead into the terminal element, so that the insulation is cut, the lead end mechanically and electrically secured to the terminal element. The wire lead is positioned in alignment above the terminal element and fixed by the insertion tool, before cutting the outer insulation and stripping the end section of the wire lead by insertion into the terminal element. The wire lead is then soldered to the terminal element in the contact zone between them. ADVANTAGE - Automatic formation of connections with min. transfer resistance and high reliability.
