The synthesizer can insert the character into the existed image data and create the new image data by editting the existed data. The synthesizer comprises: a decoder (31) converting the input image data into the color signal; a digital to analog converter (32) changing the input image signal into the digital signal; a buffer (33) deciding which signal is outputting to a monitor (36) between input image data and stored image data; an encoder (35) converting the color signal of a D/A converter (34) into the composite image signal; a control gate array (39) printing the stored data in a frame memory (38).
