PURPOSE:To produce the dispersion excellent in stability, handleability and conductivity and useful as a coating material, etc., by mixing water with a water-floatable carbon black and a surfactant in a specified ratio with stirring. CONSTITUTION:The dispersion is produced by using a putty- or paste-state aqueous carbon black dispersion containing a surfactant in an amount of >=the lower limit concentration capable of producing a uniform aqueous dispersion by adding water and a water-floatable carbon black thereto and stirring the resultant mixture and 3.5 to 25wt.% carbon black and diluting the aqueous dispersion till the concentration of the surfactant is reduced to <= a value where a uniform aqueous dispersion can not be obtained by further adding the water- floatable carbon black and stirring the resultant mixture. In addition, from a mixture solution of this dispersion or its diluted aqueous solution and a fiber or its aqueous dispersion, a carbon black-containing paper can be obtained by papermaking thereof. |
