METHOD FOR PROCESSING IMAGE INFORMATION AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To obtain an image display which is close to an original image through a multiple-gradation processing using artificial expression in an image processing method and an image processor for an LCD display by a digital driver. CONSTITUTION:This image information processing method generates image display data consisting of L bits less than P bits based on P-bit original image data; and error component data correspond to pixels which are pixels in an (N-1)th (N: natural number to be >=2) frame and at the same positions with pixels in an (N)th frame are added (P1) to the original image data of pixels in the (N)th frame. Then the high-order L bits of the P-bit data as the result of the addition processing are held (P2) as image display data of the pixels in the (N)th frame and at least one bit of the remaining low-order bit data is held as error component data of pixels in the (N)th frame.
