The mounting for a motorised sliding door with at least one horizontally sliding panel (1) has a fixed horizontal running rail to guide the rollers of the panel(s). There is also a locking device on the rail comprising an electrically driven (6) horizontally sliding bolt (5) to fix the panel(s) in position. The bolt slides across the direction of door movement. It slides out of the rail to lock the door and is withdrawn to unlock it. On each door panel there is a spring-loaded catch (11) pivoted about an axis (11c) parallel to that of the lock bolt and which snaps over the lock bolt when the latter is in place. The spring tension (11f) is such as to hold the catch in the locked position. ADVANTAGE - Simple, compact, burglarproof door mounting for one- or two-panelled sliding door.
