<p>PURPOSE:To enable the whole printer to be easily miniaturized and the whole construction to be simplified. CONSTITUTION:The printer comprises a tray 14 wherein a plurality of sheets of heat-sensitive recording materials 12 are stacked, an optical unit 16 which projects a laser beam onto the uppermost heat-sensitive recording material 12 under the condition that the heat-sensitive recording materials 12 are stacked in the tray 14, whereby predetermined thermal energy is applied to the heat- sensitive recording material 12 to record an image and the like thereon, and a transfer mechanism 18 for transferring the heat-sensitive recording material 12 from the tray 14 to a predetermined position after recording is finished.</p> |
