PURPOSE: To enable the good welding having high corrosion resistance by melting a metal for filling with the exothermic reaction of a mixture of reactants, forming fused welding metal and specifying the composition of the mixture of reactants. CONSTITUTION: When the mixture 9 of reactants starts the exothermic reaction, this mixture 9 is formed of the fused welding metal for joining two or more piece of Al alloy (cable) 5, 6 and contained of silicon, reducing agent, metal compound and metal for filling. The metal for fitting is not chemical reacted with the metal compound when the exothermic reaction between the reducing agent and the metal compound starts, and the exothermic reaction generates sufficient heat to melt the metal for filling, to form the fused welding metal. Then, at least about 90 wt.% of the fused welding metal is formed of the metal for filling and the silicon. The reducing agent is contained of Al and the metal compound is contained of a metallic sulfate and the metal for filling is contained of Al. In this way, the welded metal having high chemical purity can be obtd. |
