PURPOSE:To improve the serviceability by printing current dealings points on an issued receipt without updating total cumulative points when the number of digits of the total cumulative points up to current dealings exceeds the maximum number of digits of a cumulative point storage area secured on an external storage medium. CONSTITUTION:It is judged whether or not total cumulative point data C is larger than a comparison value D corresponding to the maximum number of digits of the cumulative point storage area on a magnetic card 9. When the total cumulative point data C is larger than the comparison value D, namely, when the number of digits of the total cumulative point data C exceeds the maximum number of digits of the cumulative point storage area on the magnetic card 9, the total cumulative point data are inhibited from being written on the magnetic card 9 and a warning message is displayed on display units 3 and 4. Then the cumulative points A and current dealings points B are printed on the receipt by a printer 6 and then the warning message and current dealing points B are printed out. |
