PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a count input part and to simplify the wiring of a counter device by providing a single count input part and plural present value counters and designating one of these counters based on the counter switch signal. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 1 is displaced in the x-y direction when the tool number to be sampled by a binary code signal BS serving as a tool selection signal outputted from a programmable controller PLC is designated. A count input part 4 is attached to the chuck 1 and counts 1 when the chuck 1 samples one of tools 3a-3n. A multicounter 8 fetches the signal BS outputted from the PLC 5 as a counter switch signal and then designates one of plural stored present value counters as the adding destination of the count signal CS received from the part 4. Thus only the designated present value counter counts the signals CS received from the part 4. |
